Craig Wild started playing Cornet at the age of 6. He studied at Wardle High School & played in Brass Bands there until the age of 16. Later whilst at the University of Salford he found he enjoyed big band music as well.

Craig toured the world with the Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra for several years before moving to London & joining the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.

 

Since then he has performed on many West End shows such as:

Ghost, Wicked, The Rat Pack, Hairspray, Singin’ in The Rain,

Dirty Dancing, Chicago, Legally Blonde, Oliver, Jesus Christ Superstar & many more.

He has also been lucky to perform & record with many bands & artists including:       Sir Paul McCartney, Barry Manilow, Shirley Bassey,

Nancy Sinatra, Michel Legrand, Seth MacFarlane, Alesha Dixon, Pendulum, Katherine Jenkins, Brian May, Johnny Mathis, Peter Kay, Bruce Forsyth, BBC Big Band, Glenn Miller UK Orch, Syd Lawrence Orch, Bert Kaempfert Orch, BBC Concert Orch, Royal Phillharmonic Orch, Ronnie Scotts Big Band, Frank Sinatra Jr.…

 

He has been recorded playing on almost 50 albums for various artists, Films, Video Games & various TV shows. For the last 10 years he has been a member of the Strictly Come Dancing band performing on the hit TV show.
